How is data protected using the 4MySay app?

4MySay does not capture individual names nor any specific identifiers. The data requiring absolute protection is how a You vote and the communities collective votes. 4MySay has built a sophisticated Blockchain system to capture all votes. As at today’s technology, Blockchain is pretty much impenetrable. In the unlikely event the Blockchain is breached, the file is deleted and restored from a backup. The worst that can happen is we will lose 1 hour of user votes. This is how we guarantee that your votes individually and collectively are always accurate and cannot be manipulated.

How private is my vote?

4MySay has gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure no one can ever know how you voted. That includes all personnel of 4MySay and the developers of our system. No names are required. The Blockchain system connects a user with a hash key and a number. You are the only person that can see how you voted in “My Poll Results”. If someone gets into your phone, and visits “My Poll Results”  on your phone, they WILL see how you voted by tapping “How did I Vote”. We will be asking sensitive questions from the community. For sensitive questions you will be able to “not Record” your vote before you answer. This way, if someone other than you accesses your phone and views “My Poll Results”, there will be no record of “How did I Vote”. Peace of mind for everyone. We have built the system to be the most trusted site in the world.

Who has access to my information?

Though we provide general information to third parties, your name will never be disclosed or attached to your votes or in any information we provide. Collective votes are submitted to the appropriate stakeholders and media outlets for the purpose of informing decision makers on how communities have voted on any topical issue.

No. You are the only person who can view your poll result for an answered question through the app on 'My Poll Results' on your mobile phone.
